To Colleagues in Learning Resources,
I was on leave last week, but alas not on holiday in the Peak District with the children and grandchildren as we usually are at Easter. So we made the most of relaxing at home in Abingdon instead. The weather obviously helped and we enjoyed seeing the cherry blossom in the garden and taking our permitted daily exercise in the form of walks, the only problem being the midges who seemed to be enjoying the warmth even more than we were! We joined in Creation Theatre’s production of The Tempest and watched two live sessions from Folk Weekend: Oxford – amazing seeing Zoom used in a professional capacity and great work from all the actors and musicians. I also enjoyed doing a jigsaw puzzle of Oxford plus knitting and reading for pleasure. And the occasional glass of beer and wine!
Now it’s back to work and blitzing the emails. I certainly think I was ready for the break after the momentous changes of the last few weeks. I’m looking forward to catching up with colleagues via Google and I hope you’re all keeping safe. Please keep up the excellent work and remember to take regular breaks.
Best wishes,
Helen.
